HORSE CONNECTION

Found Director Bianca Scarano grew up in Tivoli, NY where she spent her childhood working with and caring for horses, children and the neighborhood dogs and cats. During her freshman year of high school she began homeschooling so she could work full time as an assistant trainer to a local professional horse trainer. She went on to study with a few different trainers to learn a variety of riding and training disciplines.

She rescued several Premarin foals and off the track thoroughbreds and trained them to become her lesson horses and began teaching beginner riders of all ages. She even had the opportunity to coach for a family of kids in Wellington, FL at the rated shows and helped them and their ponies to improve significantly. 

In 2010 Bianca became a full time care giver to a young woman with cerebral palsy named Paula, and lived with her and their four dogs in Rhinebeck.

During that time Paula would enjoy accompanying Bianca while she tended to the horses. Paula expressed an interest in Riding but was unable to find a local barn that could meet meet her needs.

After witnessing Paul's disappointment, Bianca spent the following years visiting professional therapeutic riding centers all over the United States, and completed trainings and certifications to enable her to create a professional inclusive therapeutic program with a unique combination of services to offer the community.

A Horse Connection was created to provide a sanctuary where people of all abilities could come together to learn, grow, and heal with horses.
